D. Herb Burns, Auctioneer

Heading up our auctions is D. Herb Burns who has over 30 years experience conducting auctions of all types.

He has been a licensed Real Estate Agent for more than 20 years and is presently licensed as a Real Estate Broker in both Iowa and Illinois.  Herb has a lifetime involvement in the auction industry and is a 1979 Graduate of Certified Auctioneers Institute and a Past President of Illinois State Auctioneers Association. 

He is currently a member of the Illinois and Iowa State Auctioneers Associations and the National Auctioneer Association.

Jeff Ballard, Auctioneer

Jeff Ballard joined the Mel Foster Team in 2002.  He is an active Real Estate agent licensed in Illinois, a member of the Illinois State Auctioneers Association and has several years of auction experience.

Jennifer Burns

Jennifer has been with the Mel Foster office staff for over 5 years and handles advertising, marketing and bookkeeping for the auctions along with clerking and cashiers at most auctions.

Sandy Lingafelter

Sandy has been with the Mel Foster office staff for over 5 years and handles listings, advertising, web coordinator and assist in coordinating marketing. She also helps in clerking and cashiering the auctions.

Deb Dickens

Deb has been the 800 number coordinator for many years as well as assisting potential buyers with property viewings.
